Knight Frank Shanghai expands service offering with appointment of Retail Director

DATE: 01 March 2012

International property consultancy Knight Frank announces the appointment of Iven Du to the position of Director of Retail Services.

With 14 years of retail consultancy and agency experience, he is perfectly poised to lead the retail agency and consultancy business within Knight Frank.

Iven has worked on a number of notable projects in Shanghai, including Grand Gateway, Plaza 66 and Shanghai’s Xintiandi – some of the city’s top retail developments. His clients span a wide range of industries, from fashion (LVMH, Burberry, Hermes, H&M, Zara), hotels (Starwood, Wyndham, ACCOR), and supermarkets (Carrefour, Wal-Mart, Tesco) to other such retail giants as Decathlon, Best Buy, and SUNING.

At Knight Frank, Iven will be responsible for providing retail project positioning and anchor tenant leasing services. National Director and Head of Landlord Project Services Mr Alan Sun comments, “With Iven and his team on board, we are able to provide a full-service consultancy package to our clients. His rich retail experience and thorough understanding of the intricacies of China’s retail landscape will be invaluable to the service provided to our clients.”

Knight Frank’s Retail Services team specialises in providing advisory and agency services to both developers and tenants. The team will work in close cooperation with Knight Frank’s Landlord Project Services team, which specialises in providing advisory services to developers planning mixed-used projects composed of retail, offices, hotel and residential, a complex concoction requiring unique expertise in the market.
